Saint-Gobain PAM

PAM makes a commitment to society

Saint-Gobain PAM, a world leader in complete pipeline systems for the water cycle, integrates a socially responsible attitude into its operations. Sustainable development is central to its corporate culture.

The ISO 14001 standard

The ISO 14001 standard allows the establishment of an environmental management system within an organization, regardless of its size and its field of activity. This certification integrates environmental issues into the company’s sustainable development strategy.

The ISO 14001 is a structured framework that makes it possible to:

  • minimize impacts on the environment,
  • prevent incidents,
  • lay down plans for improvement (of the water market, for example).

With this standard, the company is committed to sustainable development by creating products that respect the environment. It is also a guarantee that projects will be monitored and measured. In France, 100% of Saint-Gobain’s sites are certified.

In connection with this standard and at in-house level, Saint-Gobain PAM meets the OHSAS 180001 standard, which is also called the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&SMS): this is a system for the prevention of occupational hazards.

Did you know?

Saint-Gobain PAM signed various conventions: EHS, Caring for Climate, CEO Water Mandate, Aquaplus.

The CEO Water Mandate

Saint-Gobain PAM, as a supplier of products for the water market, represents the Saint-Gobain group at the CEO Water Mandate. The CEO Water Mandate is a supplement to the Global Compact. It was designed to help companies to implement and apply policies related to the sustainability of water, given that activities related to their goods and services have a significant impact on this resource. Saint-Gobain PAM contributes to the management of this natural resource by offering complete, watertight pipeline systems that supply drinking water and recover waste water. Internally, the company limits the amount of water it uses by installing systems that recirculate water that has already been used.
This new pact focuses on the conservation of water as a resource, as part of the Millennium Development Goals set by the United Nations.
